Mass modes give anyone with interest an opportunity to anonymously learn about a particular topic. Who doesn't like movies?

One-on-one interactions can help

for an individual to feel more open and ask more personal questions.

It is important to note group learning is not the same as group therapy, yet it provides useful information direct from the educator.

3.4 Exploring Unkown Technology

How can you use it?

-Neok12 is an easy to navigate website to educate kids k through 12. It explores subtopics from the Human Body, Geography, English, Space, and so much more. It can be used for kids who have a hard time staying focused in a traditional classroom and is great for homeschooling or self-taught children.

What can you do or make with it?

-On this website, students are able to watch educational videos, play games, take quizzes, create presentations, and even more.

Show us how it could be a valuable tool to add to our professional toolbox.

-This can be a valuable tool for FLEs because some kids have a hard time talking face to face and can learn hands-on. For example, if an individual gets stuck they have to learn valuable life skills, such as troubleshooting, to find a solution. This unique website teaches in the several ways we each learn; it gets numerous areas of the brain active.

Include an example of what the tool can do/make.

Also prepare a brief narrative about the features, advantages, and disadvantages or the tool.

-As mentioned, the features range from videos to games to presentations. The disadvantages are it could be easy to get distracted on this website or some kids might use the wrong style of learning for themselves without proper guidance. The advantages are there are many types of learning, it is a highly interactive website, and it covers numerous topics.

Annonymous notes are not online, but I have had teachers do this when I was in school, and I saw the positive effects it had on both teachers and students. It lets each person be comfortable so that the classroom can have honest and real changes.

Google is not only a good way for teachers to analyze progress, but it is a great way for students to build connections. Google classroom has similar features to our teams so it could be useful to many of us as future FLEs.

Poll Everywhere...is just that, simple to make polls for students to be both honest and have an opportunity to interact with one another.  It includes live activities to encourage students to stay active and engaged.
