Learning Log 5:
Working With groups
5.4 CHANGE TRIANGLE PASTA ART

As the triangle shows, change can begin from any of the four positions, and with consistency, the other changes will follow. For example, one might make an underlying decision to stop spanking their child and to send them in a timeout instead. With that, the child's attitude might become more disciplined as opposed to violence, and the mother might speak on his behavior differences. Today, many people will express the power in changing one's narrative (or speech) by looking at negative situations benefits or pros, making it easier to manage them while reacting in a more healthy way. They are not only changing how they talk about things but how their behavior will be affected based off their decision to change their attitude.

5.7 Great Leader Ted Plalist
(15:24) In this video, Stanley discusses some of his experiences being a leader in the military. One thing I learned that people will always follow a good leader. Real leaders will not abandon, steal, lie, or do things to jeopardize their perceived image. Most importantly, this video taught me leaders will let you fail without being a failure. Leaders and followers rely on one another to make the perfect team.

(17:48) According to Simon, leadership comes from a very simple yet powerful theory. He talks about “the golden circle” where one will ask what, how, and why one does what they do. Leaders will go from the inside out as opposed from the outside in, driving behavior by directly talking to the brain. This video shows me the importance of knowing our own purpose-people will more than often be sold if you can convince them to believe what you do. People follow why’s not what's.
